Biography Entwine

Attention, Finland’s gothic rock sensation ENTWINE returns with a bouquet of earwigs! After last year’s fireworks “DiEversity”, the northern outfit now serve us the five-track menu “Sliver”. Produced by drummer Aksu & ENTWINE , mixed by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Amorphis, Sentenced , etc.) and mastered by Mika Jussila (Nightwish, Children Of Bodom, etc.) at Finnvox Studios in Finland, this listening trip offers an infectious mixture of powerful riffs, acoustic colours, keyboard spots, fiery melodies and varied vocals. Beside the two new pearls “Break Me” and “Still Waiting”, you’ll find two brilliant sounding live candies plus the Savage Garden cover version “Carry On Dancing” on the record.
From their early, death metal coloured demo tape to the catchy gothic tunes of their latest albums, ENTWINE have travelled a long way (including line-up changes) and evolved breathtakingly. The evolution temporarily culminated in last year’s masterpiece “DiEversity” - both fans and media were flooding the band with praise. For instance, German Metal Hammer wrote that the record is „an interesting mixture of racy guitar riffs, notable melody lines, heavy metal-ish solos as well as notable samples and keyboard effects”, the Metal Heart (Ger) colleagues mentioned: ”With ‘DiEversity’, ENTWINE definitely serve their best album to date, whilst listening to it you only wish one thing – more of this, please!!!” , and Sonic Seducer (Ger) stated the following: “‘DiEversity’ reflects its title perfectly as the record offers an enormous variety of different sounds, at times heavy, at times melancholic, at times electronic, and once you’ve heard them they’ll not get out of your head again.” On the following tour (including support gigs for Nightwish in Oslo and German dates with Xandria and LAB) the charismatic singer Mika Tauriainen and his crew easily managed to underpin their standing in the gothic upper class.
