Biografie : Enthrallment (BGR)

ENTHRALLMENT was brought into existence in 1998 by Yassen Kianov (vocals), Chris Hristov (guitars), Simeon Totev (bass) and Ivo Ivanov (drums) who had variously played in many Bulgarian death metal and grindcore acts such as Corpse, Condemned, Odium, Graveworm, etc. The first demo, "The Scarlet Difference", was recorded in 1999 and a thousand copies were distributed jointly by Brutallica Records and Dark Mist Productions.

On the back of this demo the band were picked up by Butchery Music to release the war themed MCD, "Burning Fields", featuring a line-up bolstered by the addition of a new vocalist, Plam, and bass player, Dimitar. Amazingly a track from the release managing to claw its way to the top of the Bulgarian National Radio charts. The MCD quickly sold out and was later re-released in 2004.

ENTHRALLMENT have made their mark on the Eastern European live scene with a series of intense performances including a number of festivals such as the prestigious Hellhammer fest. In summer 2006 the band were invited to play at "Monsters Of Rock" who's line-up includes band such as Morbid Angel, Opeth, Motorhead and Celtic Frost.

ENTHRALLMENT entered "Marinov Sound" studio in 2005 to record their debut full-length album "Smashed Brain Collection". The modern brutal sound achieved by the band attracted the attention of Grindethic Records from the UK and Spain's Grotesque Music who agreed to jointly present the album as a split release, at last rearing its ugly head in July 2006. A deal was also signed with 4 Your Band Production who filmed a video clip for the track "Awaiting The Death" which is contained on a cd-rom section of the album along with live videos. "Smashed Brain Collection” consists of nine tracks of crushing brutal death metal that is sure to impress fans of bands like Severe Torture and the g(l)ory days of early Cannibal Corpse.Source : http://www.grindethic.co.uk/bands/enthrallment.htm
