ENGINE OF PAIN is a metalband from the South of the Netherlands. The band was founded by Brouwers, Waltmans and Beckers in May 2003. In February 2004, Engine of Pain recorded a MCDemo titled - Here is the Pain! - with vocalist Hameury and guitarist Bänziger. Thanks to this MCDemo the Wacken Open Air organisation decided to invite the band to play at WACKEN OPEN AIR (15th anniversary): one of the biggest metal festivals in the world with 43.000 visitors that year. That same year ENGINE OF PAIN played the finals of the well known band competition METAL BASH as well.

In October 2005, the band started to plan and execute their next step: recording their full length album. The result was a relentless album with outspoken lyrics and ditto artwork. This album - I Am Your Enemy - was released worldwide by Lion Music on the 26th of January 2007.

After Nick left the band - due to his emigration to Spain in July 2007 - the band recorded a 2 track promo CD with guitarist Kuiper and vocalist Stockbroeks in November 2007.

As from July 2009 Nick rejoins Engine of Pain and guitarist De Warem enters the band. In 2015 the band self-released their 5-track album Oculus.

Currently the band is on hold for a while.
