Uruguayan Death Metal band, with long career in the nacional metal scene.
At 1990..s midst, Jorge “Monje” Fernández (guitar) and Diego Larruina (vocals), start a project that was thinked years before. After recruiting Diego Muñoz (bass/guitar) and Fabián Alberro (drums), the rehearsals begun, making their live debut on april 1991.
Alter this first show, they decide to remove the vocalist, and name the band Eclampsy.
Their music was always oriented to the Death and Thrash, influenced by bands like Slayer, Celtic Frost, Obituary, Sarcófago and Morbid Angel, and more recently by Hypocrisy, Dark Tranquility, Arch Enemy and more.
On 1994 Jorge begun to make vocals, and sung on some songs of their only record to that time, “Extreme Fellings”, and at the end of that year he was, definetelly, the vocalist of the band.
Eclampsy has changed her members several times, a constant along her history. Jorge Fernández is the only one that remains from the begining of the band.
