Demonic Christ's biography

Demonic Christ was formed in 1992 by Dana Duffey. First she wrote all the music and lyrics for Demonic Christ using session musicians to record the first demo "Deceiving the Heavens" in 1993. The tape was spread throughout the underground by Osmose Productions in Europe and Wild Rags Records in the USA. Demonic Christ was offered a CD deal in 1994 by Morbid Granny and by Moribund Records. With a full line-up the band entered the studio in 1994 and "Punishment For Ignorance" came out in 1995. After the recording, the drummer was replaced the band prepared for live shows. In 1995 a 2 song Promo Tape was released and in early 1996, Demonic Christ added a second guitarist. The next release came out in June 1996 as a 2 song promo tape. Soon after this, the drummer was kicked out. As Demonic Christ began writing new material musical differences made it impossible to continue with this line up. Dana then reduced the band to just herself again. After a private break, Dana got an offer from Dutch label, Cryonics Records to release a second CD. This release is a collection of songs from every release by Demonic Christ. It is entitled "Demonic Battle Metal" and was released in 2000. There were just 250 hand numbered copies. Painkiller Records released the album as well, on LP in 2001. (Bio by VP)
