D-VOID opened up 2004's prestigious Download Festival, at legendary Castle Donington . D-VOID took the stage by storm as the opening act of the weekend, after being voted winners of a national competition, with 46% of the public's votes placing them as the best unsigned UK rock band. Playing alongside such Rock/Metal titans as Linkin Park, Metallica, Machinehead, and Slayer to name but a few. D-VOID had the privilege of being the first unsigned band to open this legendary festival.
D-VOID brings their hybrid style of groove metal direct to your brain. Music which combines the energy of such great bands as Incubus, Soundgarden and Rage Against The Machine, Faith No More with the melody and ability of Chilli Peppers and Alice In Chains whilst maintaining the unique style and individuality of D-VOID .
With their song-writing ability continuing to mature, first with the " Down In Codes " Promo, (promotional video available of the title track on DVD ,see below .. ). Then with the " Comfort In Confusion " Promo, and ' The GrooveTube E.P ' , now D-VOID are ready to unleash their latest recording, the infectious " MAKING WAVES" E. P, it can clearly be heard that they are more than ready to take their deserved place in the world music scene. Response from their live shows has been very positive, " live is where D-VOID is at their best, it's a time to let off steam and play the songs how they should be heard. LOUD !
