Crystalium is a French black metal band that formed in 1996. After the usual line-up changes they added a new bass player and a new keyboardist. They have played live shows with important acts on the extreme metal scene such as Himinbjorg, Immortal, Angel Corpse, Agressor and Bloodthorn. In December 1997 the band recorded their one and only demo. In December of 1999 they recorded their debut album which was distributed by O.R.H. Productions, run by the band's bass player. In 2002 they signed a deal with the Adipocere collaborators Oaken Shield.
