Biography : Cerebral Bore

In the beginning of 2004, Marc Mullen and Ross Howie started talking of forming a band and doing their best to infest the local scene with their ideas. It took around a month until they had got in touch with Jack Nelson, a good friend of both Ross and Marc, to play drums. So, they took to the studios with a few fat ass riffs, aggressive growls, and chunky fucking beats. They fell into place well and the band was in motion.

The set list was down by May and the first gig was on June 8th 2004 at the barfly. The set was short and sweet, with nothing major going wrong. The feedback was great and most of the people who had anything to say were very generous. After having practised and played without a bassist, the band came to the mutual agreement that one was required. All three members agreed swiftly to ask the man mountain of metal mayhem, Ross Muir, to take the job. He was more than happy to become part of Cerebral Bore, and drink booze, and jag. Ross's playing added a fourth element to the band and gave them the opportunity to try new things.

Shortly after Ross's arrival, it became apparent that there was a problem emerging, that eventually Jack was going to have to leave because of his school. He faced an ultimatum, and in the end decided that his education was something he wanted to continue. The band still remain in contact, and are still good friends.

The new problem was to find a new and suitable drummer. After a short time, Marc got in touch with someone none of us knew. A drummer looking for a band so it seemed. The infamous Allan McDonald AKA Mcdibet. He was soon geared up and ready to show the band what he was capable of. Immediately the band asked him to join with them, and he agreed.

Since then, we have scrapped the old material due to the completely different styles of our current and past drummer. The demo is due to be recorded in January, and we will be gigging very soon. Our new songs and lyrics have taken a different direction. We have moved on to a higher ground, and we will deliver our best efforts towards Glasgow's and any other metal scenes to which the virus spreads. We are here to drill a hole through your fucking skull.
