Castero are a 3 piece Heavy Rock band from Tipperary,Ireland.

They play Classic Rock with elements of Stoner/Doom/Blues & Southern Rock thrown in the mix.
After 3 different line ups since late 2006, Castero became a 3 piece in April 2009. They are strongly influenced by bands such as Down, Clutch, Black Label Society & Black Sabbath & so on.
In the summer of 2009 they started demo-ing songs from all their jams with the objective of releasing a full length album, the album was recorded between August 2009 & January 2010.The album was engineered & mixed by Ciaran Culhane at Stoney Meadow Studios in Limerick & it was mastered by Richard Dowling at Wav mastering in Limerick.The artwork was done by Niall Ward (www.wardartz.com). The finished product "Consequence of thoughts" was released on April 16th 2010.
As of June 2010 they are in the process of writing new tracks & also stepping up to playing more high profile gigs,they have a number of Irish Metal Festival dates coming up & also have a support slot on the Cork leg of "Diamond head"s upcoming Irish tour in November & the band have already played on bills with Oliver Dawson Saxon, Fivewilldie, Misty Morning, Trench Hell, Haieeta, Brigantia, Three Hour Ceasefire, Wardog,Bad Boat, Old Season, Mourning Beloveth, The Wounded Kings & loads more................
