The band is created in 1995/96 by brothers ILMAR (drums) and KALEVI (guitar), with WILHELM ALDAGURTH on vocals and FRED (guitar), in order to play DEATH BLACK METAL.

First demo on tape see the light of day in 1997 and is called The Nocturnal Moans of the Fallen Angel.

End of 1998 is recorded the 2nd demo entitled Dyonisos contre le Crucifié, 5 tracks on tape.

In 2001 Wilhelm left the band. For a short period, Kalevi took care of vocals. Then Nathaniel entered the band as bass player. In december 2001 is recorded 3rd demo Primitive Horde. New line up change as Nathaniel took the vocals. In summer 2002 the band plaid a mini tour in Estonia (as a trio) and recorded there its last demo called Estonian Sessions in Guano Studio. Same year is also the time to see Nathaniel leaving the band and the arrival of HAGEND (also playing in Infantry Of Doom) as new frontman. More and more devoted, BLOODY SIGN spreads its unholy gospel within the underground.

In beginning 2003 Fred decided to leave the band. Shortly after, bass player DEIMOS (also playing in black metal band Archaeus) joined the forces.

Summer 2003, new tour in Estonia (with Nathaniel as bass session) and recording of the first album at Guano Studio, mixed in France at LB Lab, mastered at L'Autre Studio.

The 8 tracks album is entitled VanaVigala Loits, and is unleashed in autumn 2004 through IBEX MOON RECORDS (label owned by John McEntee from Incantation). Earlier has been released a split tape on NIHILISTIC PROD with DEEP VEIN and OPPRESSION, with two songs taken from the album. The band also toured Belgium and Czech Republik with AVENGER, and recorded three songs at Hellsound studio in Czech Rep. In october/november, Ilmar has the opportunity to fill in the drums for INCANTATION's european tour with KRISIUN / BEHEMOTH / RAGNAROK. BLOODY SIGN opened for some of the shows. New line up change, as DEIMOS is no longer in the band, and HAGEND decided to play bass, still doing vocals.

2005 is the year for a spring East European Tour From Hell's Ass (Germany, Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Austria...), and also a 3 weeks summer tour in South America (Peru, Equador) Under The Sign of South America. In Lima is recorded 3 new songs at Horizon Studio. Earlier same year has been unleashed two splits releases, Rhythms Of Carnage (split tape) with german death zombies RADEMASSAKER on polish label TIME BEFORE TIME RECORDS, and 4 Tormenting Ways To Death (split cd) with LUCTIFERU, MORTIFICY, CROMB on polish label GRUFT PROD. The songs featured (2 new ones and a cover of Autopsy) are those recorded one year before in Czech Republik.

BLOODY SIGN has already shared the stage with qu'IMMOLATION, KRISIUN, BEHEMOTH, CENTURIAN, PENTACLE, DEW SCENTED, AVENGER, CRADLE OF FILTH, IMPALED NAZARENE, HERALD, SECRETS OF THE MOON, ROOT, TORR, WATAIN, INHUMATE, DISINFECT, INTERVALLE BIZARRE, ALIENATION MENTAL, SKYFORGER, RAGNAROK, SOULGRIND, FURIA, LOITS... in tours as festivals, france, North and East Europe, South America.

Year 2006 will see the recording of 2nd album, and a possible tour with american label mates ESTUARY in spring time
