Biography : Blofeld

The band is best known as a live act, playing both their own songs and covers of classic rock bands like Iron Maiden, Kiss, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Dio, Judas Priest, The Beatles, Van Halen and more. And also their ability to throw in a random jam, that may go from a couple of minutes to half an hour. One of the first Blofeld live appearances was on TOMMYS POPSHOW on TV2.

Although a trio, people are amazed by the big rich sound of the band, with Axe's raw bluesy guitar playing, TJ's high pitched screaming vocals and George's fast paced old school drumming.

Once in a while, they've included guest artists, such as Frode Alnæs (Dance With A Stranger) and Marianne Antonsen, as a part of the show. They're also known for dragged ramdom people out of the audience to either sing with them, or put them behind one of the instruments with hilarious results.

Before and during Blofeld, the members have been part of many different musical projects. Axe had started different bands with his childhood friend, Øyvind Solheim (Ungdomskulen), including Rockwool and Barclay Bad Boys (also with TJ), until they teamed up with Kristian Stockhaus (Ungdomskulen) and formed a band called Kebab KillersS, which later became Ungdomskulen.

TJ, George and Axe's first band together, in the mid-90's, was a DEEP PURPLE tribute band called GNURK. Which also featured Øyvind Solheim (Ungdomskulen), Renato Elide (Cult) and Steinar Karlsen (Good Time Charlie). Back in the school daze, Axe and TJ also did a couple of Deep Purple tributes with Stian Bakketeig (Windir, Cor Scorpii, Ulcus, Mistur) and Alessandro Elide (Griffin, Manifest)

Brothers TJ and George had worked musically together since they were kids, and had started bands like Juicy Jane, Larson'S Trio, Cobra, Violent Power and an Iron Maiden tribute called Invaders. Invaders also included members Maurice Adams (Breed, Norwegian Idol), Dan Aasebø (Cobra, Forecast) and Damage Karlsen (Breed). They also had a brief collaberation with Atle Hjørn Øien (The Foggy Few, Psyndromatik) in a punk band called Carcrash.

TJ also later joined different bands, during the early days of Blofeld. One of them was Infernal Manes, a critically acclaimed NWOBHM band from Naustdal, Norway. It included members Skagg (Gorgoroth, Deathcult, Gaahlskagg, Sigfader), Thurzur (Deathcult, Sigfader), Meisterman (Deathcult, Sigfader) and John Christian Wie (Violent Power, Hookers From Hell).

Another band he joined was the power metal band Memorized Dreams from Fosen, Norway. Where TJ got a chance to work with Stine Mari Langstrand (ex-Lumsk) and Robert Myrhaug (Divided Multitude) on the album End Of Innocence.

Blofeld is all about hard hittin' music, with crazy solos, screaming vocals and bone crushing chords. Blofeld is all about putting the focus back on good songs and good shows. Blofeld is all about ROCK.
