15 Times Dead's biographyEdit
15 Times DeadFormed in April 2004, 15 Times Dead take their speed, power and melody from some of the major rock and metal bands of the seventies, eighties and nineties.

The self-proclaimed "Godfathers of Girth Metal" arrived onto the local metal scene after reaching the Scottish Final of the global Emergenza Battle of the Bands at the start of 200515 Times Dead, playing to a packed O2 Academy in Glasgow with the judges calling them “A powerful act with a very distinct style and a lot of energy on stage”. Their performance on the night culminated in Andy winning the best bass player on the night out of the 30 bands performing.

From their first gig at the 4th Rat Arsed Biker Rally in Oct 2004 the band cemented their place as one of the stalwarts of Glasgow metal, priding themselves on their explosive and entertaining live performances.

The band continued to grow in 2006 producing a four track demo, Gathering of Skulls (tracks of which are playing on the player above), while also taking their first trip outwith Scotland to play at the Godless Festival in Stoke, sharing the stage with other unsigned bands from across the UK.

In 2007 the band parted company with original drummer Davie Scott and brought in Dave Reeves, to bring an exciting and wholly new dynamic to their sound.

Terrorizer listed them as one of the new wave of thrash bands to look out for in 2007/8 and the year culminated with the self produced digital single - Ride the Pain.

2008 continued the band's local success with key support slots with Panic Cell, Blitzkrieg and Blaze Bayley while also appearing as the main headline unsigned band at the inaugural Monsterz of Rock & Metal Festival in Dundee.

The band also won their way through to the UK Finals of Bloodstock Unsigned before calling it a day in July 2008 due to musical differences.

Almost a year later, after Andy and Tam had parted company with Jarrett's Skinkarver project the brothers sat down with Scotti and Dave and once again decided that 15 Times Dead had unfinished business to attend to and the local scene was ready once again to hear the sounds of Girth Metal!
