Here is the only album of Cradle Of Filth recognized "officially" as Black Metal. I warn you already, it is different as the Cradle that you could know.
The introduction is disastrous is very melody as with its practice but with a smal indescriptible difference... The continuation is even more different. The voice is cold and raucous, with juste some bits of overshrill to which Dani accustomed us during the following albums. The riffs are aggressive and powerful with unpleasant solos. Those, contrary to Nymphetamine, do neither destroy nor hide the melodies with the keyboard which are dark and unhealthy. One finds as on the other albums the beautiful voice of Sarah Jezebel but with more moderated amounts and undoubtedly more skilfully placed in the pieces.
An infernal and unpleasant album for a lot of people of which I do not form part. Bautiful compositions and infenal environments...
