Its been a lot of years since Overkill graced the metal community with this precious album called Horrorscope. Its not only one of Overkill's best overall album its probably one of the best metal album of its era.
For those unfamiliar with Overkill's brand of thrash its a great place to start and hear all the different phases this album puts you through. From the opener "Coma" to the closer "Solitude" Horrorscope is an absolute classic with no fillers ( except for maybe "Bare Bones"). Song after song this album is a wrecking ball of riffs with blazing solo's ala Holt/Hunolt. Bobby Blitz delivers his very familiar high pitch screams with an AC/DC's Brian Johnson-esque vocals style that Overkill fans have loved.
Bass lines seem to be another high point of this album, in songs like
"Thanks for Nothing", "Horrorscope" and "Frankenstein" display the high level of the musicianship that Mr.Verni possesses.
This album is a must have for any fans of the genre and should have for any fans of Overkill.
