Among the huge number of releases during the summer time, here comes the new Nevermore album!!! In order to make things always bigger the band asked Steve Smyth (ex Testament's guitarist) to come and help them for this new release. And I can say that «father» Loomis really enjoys it and has so much fun on it, but I must admit that the songs are just made for that, they really blast!

This Nevermore's album is just execptionnal in more than one way, not satisfied to make an album which kicks ass, they have managed to make it more melodic, yet more technical than the older ones. What a pure wonder. This effect is a result of the composition which has been made in collaboration with all the band's members, even the newest one Steve Smyth has been a part of the song writing.
Warrel Dane prooves one more time, he is one of the best metal singers on earth.
His vocal register's extension is still so surprising, he easily comes from a heavy style to a clearer even calmer one, no, really nothing wrong to say. Anyway there is nothing wrong to say at all !!!
We do feel that the band has worked on each one of the songs as if it would have been the last one...
No song could be thrown away, they all have a particular touch which makes them unique and essential. The alternation of some «chorus» tracks, really evilish songs and even ballads (very atypical). Talking about chorus, the «Bittersweet Feast»'s one is really monstrous and blasts your head off with huge riffs hits. Guitars solos are, as you can imagine, perfectly executed !!!!!!
Special mention to «Born»'s one which has really impressed me.
The ranges they have used are for once super original and give a result very appreciable.
As I call it, the «syndical» balad is also really excellent : «Sentient 6» is the kind of song in which, even if you don't like slower tracks, you can find something pretty good because of the alternation of slow moments and harder moments.

So there is only one thing left to do : WAITING FOR THE 26TH JULY WITH PATIENCE !!!!!!!!

I know some of you guys will have a wonderful summer with this killing album, you got to own it absolutely !!!!!
