Soul Of A New Machine to me was one of the best debut album a band could hope for, it is no surprise, the album has tracks even to date through numerous albums that are just so awesome.
With the ferocity of Martyr as the first song it is just a great starting track. Following with other good tracks such as Scapegoat, Crisis and Leechmaster it is one of the best first 5 songs to an album i've heard. Going even further into the compilation coming across songs like Big God/Raped Souls which to me clearly portrays early Fear Factory and all that they were.
The last 6 or so tracks I feel contain no other instant hits but none-the-less fit in with the album and the other tracks. At the time of the albums release(1992) it just adds to the passion in the vocals and thrashing of the instruments which are just fantastic for its time. To metal fans this album is easily deserving to be heard and appreciated.
