| Here is the kind of cd we do not expect from Adipocere Records! Everything is amazing in this album! The band's name, the cover, the ultra-colored booklet where 70's style pictures are side by side with others in a dark and gothic style, the first approach is pretty complicated...And in this situation we realize how narrow-minded we are...But it's now time to enjoy this record and listen to something different. And here again I've been amazed. How can we define a band which is against the stream ?
My first feeling was that the sound wasn't very good, the record sounded more like a demo than a full lenght album. But we quickly get used to it and can find something else that lies beyond...A kind of a mix between of the slowest tracks we could find in Sex Pistols (simple riffs, growling bass) and the first gothic or batcave bands of the 70's. The very simple guitars melodies with glam rock vocals drive us to a nocturne life universe, neon lights in whores bars reflecting in the sex shops' windows, wet asphalt... Finally the sound that first seemed to be poor, enhaces the feeling that we are holding a good old album coming directly from the 77 or 78 departement..Strange osmose between rock punk and The Cure claustrophobia, this cd should recall in the olders' mind, who were used to hang in that kind of dark places some years ago, an amount of memories...Surprising but I loved at 100%!
