One year hardly has passed, since the terrible warlike Winternight Tragedies, and already Catamenia offers us this new album: Location Cold! The things have evolved since Halls Of Frozen North, this album can almost seems different compared as Winternight… Always cold, but increasingly more powerful! A true fist in my face as I heard the first piece: Tribes Of Eternity! Some riffs close to Chaos Born but much more cold and terrifying! Blast beat, speed, destruction and power to us… which we almost did not know from this band before! We find also those epic keys of the preceding album and a good combination of chorus accentuates them! We find a bit old school almost heavy without falling into Rock’n roll like Satyricon or Darkthrone presented to us with Volcano and The Cult Is Alive, even if the last piece is a cover: “I wanna be somebody” of W.A.S.P. terribly adapted in the Black Melodic style! The pieces follow the ones with the others without resembling each other too much! An album that the adepts would like or hate. Personally I was astonished in good, the samples present on the sit of Catamenia not having convinced me much…
