Metus Mortis is the second album with Andy B. Franck on vocals and to me it really kicks some ass !
If Maiden would not have existed we could have put this album besides the Heavy Metal's definition.
If my point of view seems to be impartial, it's partially because of the intensity that dwells in this album. We do feel that the band has carefully worked on each one of their songs. Not a detail is forgotten and it feels like the band has had a new breath of life. There is a real and active participation in the songs writting on every track. This album gave to the band a stronger personnality and from the first notes we easily reconnize the Brainstorm's style but without repeating things over again.
Each track is unique and excellent, good old fashioned heavy metal with powerful guitars and strong vocals. Guitar solos fit perfectly on each melody....
No, really nothing more to say. To my humble opinion the best track is «Shadowland» a real anthem to Heavy Metal.
If you don't have it already, run to your cd store !!!
